Strong Credentials
Dr. Wong graduated from Stanford University and received his M.D. from George Washington University in Washington, D.C. He did his military service at the Air Force Academy at Colorado Springs, and his internship, residency, and fellowship in cardiology at the UCLA Veterans' Administration Hospital in Westwood. He is Board-Certified in Internal Medicine.

Deep Experience
A specialist in primary and secondary prevention of cardiovascular disease, Dr. Michael Wong has practiced medicine in Los Angeles for 40 years. He served as the Medical Director of the Los Angeles Athletic Club in the 1980s.

Leadership
Dr. Michael Wong was a pioneer in implementing a collaborative practice with Nurse Practitioners, and has been a clinical instructor in the UCLA Nursing School for decades. He is a past chair of the American Heart Association (AHA) Cardiac Rehabilitation Committee in Los Angeles and has been recognized on a national level by the American Heart Association for his exemplary volunteer service.

Dr. Michael Wong's father, Thomas A. Wong, M.D., was a well-known general practitioner in Los Angeles. Dr. Michael Wong enjoys broad interests. His friends describe him as a Renaissance man: a great cook, an accomplished fly-fisherman, and an enthusiastic outdoorsman. He also enjoys sports (especially football and basketball) and loves to travel. A genuine concern for his patients drives him to keep abreast of the very latest research, medications, techniques and treatments.
